Hi everyone! This is Jessica from Honolulu Myohoji. From the continuation of the last blog, let’s talk more deeply about Ayurveda.
Ayurveda is a holistic approach for the mind and body. While Ayurveda defines health as a combination of good health and healthy mind, western medicine focuses on people’s physical health. If you would like to focus on your overall well-being, Ayurveda is here for you. Not only does Ayurveda give you ideas of how to live healthily,it will give you a realization of happiness.
Let’s think about happiness for a little bit. Happiness is not something you “get”, but it is something you will “realize”. A teaching of Ayurveda says happiness will not be created by getting something, rather realizing what you have and maintain it. Something easy to monitor your well being on Ayurveda is: quality sleep, healthy eating and good poop (seriously!). These three are very important in Ayurveda. These are the basis of maintaining a healthy body.
